I was wondering how one can set up Google analytics for Maestro forms?
I've previously used these instructions for my composer forms (Google Analytics Virtual Page Integration). But it requires the use of a business rule, which doesn't appear to be available in Maestro.
Form Options > Analytics
Set the appropriate tracking ID and base URL in there, and the form will provide load, page change events automatically. If you want to do anything further than that in a business rule, you have access to the global "ga" object and all it's standard Google methods. We are discouraged from doing field-level stuff though, as that will be better handled by Insights.
I followed these instructions and was blocked by the Content Security Policy in my Smart Form.
I see this message in the console.
And can verify that the header is being set on page load.
Is there a place to white list the google analytics script?
A search of the Avoka Knowledge Base will yield the answer you seek:
If you do need to run any business rules on page change you can do this by:
I'm making some progress with GA, however still having some issues with the 'Submission Completed' page.
It does not seem to pick up the base url.
I have tried the suggestion about page controller, but it seems the script is not triggered as I don't get any message in the browser console as a debug message.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
I have set up Google Analytics for one of our forms. It's all working well, except for the Submit Success page.
This article How to add Google Tag Manager support mentions the 'additional' pages and the need to add some code to the page. However, the Maestro architecture is different to Composer, so I'm just wondering how to include the additional pages for a Maestro form into GA?
I'm implementing GA and have configured the Google Analytics Tracking ID, but have not configured the base url as it is optional.
However, I'm having some issues getting some tags to trigger.
Is the base url required to get GA fully operational?
