Is there any way to get the from address for submission emails to the customer from a form property? We already have an 'agency email' form property that we insert in the Need help and submission email body. But we'd like to use it as the from address for that email (but not the delivery email) so customers can just hit reply when they have questions.

      Hi Lin,

I'm not sure if I understood what you are trying to achieve.

If it's only to send an email changing the from to any email address, you can create a service in TM using EmailService and set as a reply address whatever you need.

If the email address is in the form, you can extract it or take it from the submission xml.

What action is generating the email? On form save, submission?

      Regards,

      Julio.

It's the email sent to the Contact email after submission. We're not actually sure what service that uses. We'll have another look in TM.

And if you can use a data extract, it should be fine to use a form property, I assume.

We did notice it is using a system deployment property called Email Default Sender.

You can override this by an organisation property, but we want to add an if/else statement to either use the form property if it's there or the system property if it's  not.

Sorry, I'm thinking out loud here. We discovered there is a form property called "Email Sender Address" which will achieve this.
