Can you set automatic retries on Submission Delivery failure in TM?
For instance if the Mail Server goes down can you set a rule to retry in 1 hour automatically or can this only be done manually using
Operations > Transaction Delivery in TM?

    If the maxDeliveryAttempts does not end in a successful delivery, will members of 'Receive Delivery Escalation Alerts' receive notification of the failure?

      I believe this was targeted at scenarios such as:'The email server goes down for 30mins on the weekend, several deliveries fail, how do we avoid having to have someone go and manually retry all of the failed deliveries once the email server comes back up'.


      The answer is that for each delivery service you can specify a maximum number of delivery attempts, and the time period between those attempts.

      For example you may want to have:

      maxDeliveryAttempts: 24

      retryDelayMins: 60

      Which would retry failed deliveries once every hour for 24 hours.

      These settings are service parameters on the delivery service:
