There are some instructions on https://support.avoka.com/confluence/display/CookB/Packaging+of+third+party+library+into+TM.
However, the examples are related to a small number of .jar files. Is there a smart way of adding a large amount of .jar files into the xml file without having to write a script to get all the jar file names and put them into the xml file?

Stuart advised importing external jar files to TM might cause support issues, as it might clash with parts of TM. The best practice would be hosting the service somewhere else and call the web service from Groovy instead of importing the external Jar files to TM.
