Lets say you export a form in Composer and import it into TM. Can we get this form from TM and import it back into Composer?
Thanks

    Hi Thamba, great question.
The process of publishing forms into TM is a one way operation so I'm sorry but the answer to your question is 'No'. Are you having an issue with the form in Composer? Can you explain why you wish to reverse publish the form?

    Hi Ben,
What tends to happen is that changes are made to the form in Composer, but don't end up in PROD. Then when we need to make changes to the form in PROD, we don't have a form in Composer that matches what is in TM. In the days of PDF, we would just get the file from TM and edit that in Designer, so we were hoping to be able to do something similar in Composer.
Anyway, I suppose we just need to be more diligent and ensure that a backup copy of the form in PROD is kept in Composer.

Would it help if we did the following?
When you hit the "Publish" button, there is an extra checkbox that asks: "Would you like to create a Composer backup version of this published form?"
    Thanks,
    Howard

    Hi Ben,
I have had a look at revisions previously, but it was too complicated, especially when restoring old versions, so we stuck with just creating a copy of the form and naming it appropriately.

    Hi Howard,
A backup checkbox cant hurt. The main problem is getting people to check it when publishing the final version. One of our problems will be is that we don't publish to PROD. We publish to TPT, and when we are finally happy, the version in TPT gets promoted to PROD, so when we publish we wont know that that is the final version. It has to be done retrospectively.

      Hi Thumba, I see now.
Not sure if you were aware that Composer allows you to save a revision of the form when you need to base line it. To do this, select the 'Save As' function and choose the 'Save as Form Revision' option, then enter a description of the revision such as "Published to PROD on <date>".
This will keep the current state of the form stored away so that you may restore it at a later time if you need to.

To restore to this version, select the form in your project browser and click 'Manage Form Revisions' from the actions panel on the right. Select the revision you wish to restore and click the restore button. You will be asked for another description, you can simply enter 'Restore of Published PROD revision".

Note: When you restore a prior revision, that revision becomes the current revision and any edits made prior to the restore will be lost unless you also save a revision with the latest changes and restore that revision again later.
Historic revisions can be deleted when they are no longer required.
Why don't you test this out and let us know if it helps with your issue?
