Hi All,

many of our pdf receipts do not look 'well presented'; some examples:

  • inconsistent headings, some bold, some not; different font sizes, etc
  • some field data extends off the edge of the page
  • some fields not aligned correctly
  • all fields are printed on the receipt, even if they are empty

What is the best approach to getting some consistency and standards into the pdf receipt?

Is there any settings or configuration or best practice patterns that can be applied to enable us to create 'pretty' pdf receipts?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

ps.

using Composer and TM4.1.5

      Hi Mark,

Just a general comment on this. I think keeping it simple will be good as long as it has all the information required. You can set up a definition for pdf receipts based on your organisation and have a template receipt like to have consistent headings fonts etc.. The template can be designed using Adobe LiveCycle designer and upload to TM in Form->New Form Wizard and selecting the template.

        Hi Gayathra,

The pdf receipt for most of our forms is a by-product, not the main outcome. So, we are looking for something simple - a template might be of some help.

We don't want to invest much time or effort into a product like LiveCycle. I was hoping there was some more flexibility with the existing pdf generation function within TM.

I'll have to review our options and see what I can find as the best solution.

        Thanks

        Mark
