I have created a new form to do some testing.

The form contains an address block and an associated Dynamic Data service to do the address lookup.

When I launch the form and try to enter an address I get an error: "Error loading form data service named ..."

There is no error log and no event log, so I'm not sure how to trouble shoot this.

I have checked spelling of names and other obvious potential problems, but unable to get things to work.

Would appreciate any ideas on trouble shooting.

Using Composer and TM4.1.3.

Thanks

Mark

      Hi Mark,

If you open the browser developer tools (hit F12) then there should be a network tab which should show all the network requests, you will need to refresh the page to populate this data as it will only show what has been done since the dev tools were opened. You will see requests to FormDynamicDataServlet so you can inspect the data being passed to and from TM including error codes and messages.

It is also important to note that dynamic data services do not function in preview as Composer is separate to TM and TM requires valid form requests to fulfil dynamic data services for security reasons. Depending on what you are doing there are test mode and test data options that can be used to simulate DDS calls.

Hi Glenn, thanks for the suggestion. I tried Dev Tools but it was not very enlightening. The request makes sense: seq=1, search=100 waymouth etc but the response is the same as what I see elsewhere; it only says { "errorMessage": "Error loading form data service named 'Address Lookup'" } there is no more detailed error messages to allow me to dig deeper. Any other ideas? Thanks Mark
