Hi,

I need to utilize some of the semantics of xml in form structure, so I am setting some elements to be "Include in Submission Data".

I can see the FormXML once the form is published. However, I was wondering if it is possible to view the form xml structure in Maestro while I am building the form.

is it possible to view form xml structure in Maestro?

Thanks

Mark

      Not currently no. Although:

      a: We do have a feature planned in the roadmap where you can see the XML, as well as modify values in it to test prefill in Preview mode, and

      b: In the meantime you can cheat a bit in the JavaScript console like this:

      $("form").scope().Form.getDataXml(true, true)

      If you miss out the second "true" you get the default Transact SystemData included too.

        Hi Tim, a. I'm looking forward to that feature - it will be very helpful. b. It works - I ran that command in the console and... voila - we have xml to investigate - I'll be able to work with that at the moment for what I need. Thanks Mark

      Hey Mark,

      You can view the XML path for each field on the Data tab but only one field at a time:

      The Maguire template has a feature that allows you to view the XML after you submit the form in preview mode. Clicking the Show Form XML link on the confirmation page will provide you the XML with all data that you entered in preview mode.

      The data mapper allows you to view the XML structure but this assumes that you are mapping to an XML structure that is known from the start.
