I am trying to figure out a valid use case for the "Valid after change if..." action in Maestro. I can see that the event/action itself fires after the valid if action/event but not sure what the use case would be for using it and the Valid If action.
Any clarification would be welcome.
The use cases for this usually involve a Dynamic Data call to validate the field value against a 3rd party service.
For example, a standard email field does client-side format validation on the entered value. If you wanted to call a 3rd party service that also validated the domain and mailbox you would use the "Valid after change if..." rule.
The standard validation runs frequently and having a Dynamic Data call in that rule would not be appropriate. This rule only runs after the value in the field has changed and the standard validation rule has passed.
Does that clarify?
That is perfect Ben, thank you.
