I have a requirement where I nee do perform batch approval for multiple submissions in one go. These submissions are part of collab job and have different workflows based on the form. Each approval step can have Approve, Decline and Request More Info actions. How can we programmatically achieve batch completion e.g. either "batch approve", "batch decline" or "batch request more info" so that first it marks the current submission as "Submitted" and execute next step/route in the associated workflow and stay in transaction model?
When you say multiple submissions to approve/decline and these Review Tasks you are referring to?
Yes. They are part of Two Step Review workflow where approver needs to take an action. Few request types are pretty common and it's time-consuming for approvers to go in every single Review Task item, Approve it and Submit. They are talking about 100s of review items in a single day. To speed up the task, we need them to select items that want to batch approve. We are looking to simulate approval process in a single button click and automatically proceed to next route in the workflow for each review task.
OK, thanks there is some requirements analysis work being done for a new Work Space portal, and this is useful information.
Well if that's the case, the actual requirement is client wants to perform "Batch Export" that allows them to review requests in bulk as exports contain some key form data extracts. Then the approver can "Batch Claim" and then perform "Batch Complete". I am comfortable with writing scripts for "Batch Claim" but export and complete options require product team guidance until we develop new workspace.
Feature not available Transact 5.1As per the thread above this feature will be considered for a new Work Space portal.
