I develop a form on Maestro as version 1, I then deployed onto a dev environment, I added a request parameter prefill mapping in Data Config, call it "Prefill1"
I then go back to Maestro and created a new version of the form as version 2, I exported the form as a zip file, then update dev environment's version to version 2.
Now when I go into Data Config → request parameter mapping of version 2, I see "Prefill 1" which was defined in version 1 is not present in version 2.
I understand I an just add "Prefill1" into version 2, but say if I have 100 mappings defined in version 1, does that mean I have to manually add 100 mappings to version 2? and version 3, and so forth? Is there someway we can copy the prefill mappings between versions?
I also understand that you can define the mappings in Maestro's TM request parameter mapping, but doing so would mean we need to give customer access to Maestro's TM instances so if they want to add a new prefill mapping, then can do it themselves in Maestro's TM, which I was told we shouldn't do.
In older versions of the product (Composer publish method), new versions of the form would inherit older version data config, until overridden with any new configuration. Behaviour has changed with introduction of Maestro and/or newer TM versions. (I haven't used Composer since Maestro was released)
I believe this should be a change request.
