I'm getting an error:
Error: A form with this name already exists but is not associated with the Maestro form design.
Even though I change the name of my form, I can't build it.
Where should I be renaming my form, so that it is unique?
I found that if you "Build with Options" (from the build dropdown), that you can rename your form so that it doesn't clash.
I am facing a similar issue, but the error says " the Normalized form name is not unique".
I understand why this is happening, because I have two forms with the same name.
I have changed the first form, and used the 'Build with options'. However, when I try to build the second form it fails whether I use 'build' or 'build with options'.
It seems that there is a hidden ID or similar that makes Maestro think the two forms are the same, even though I have changed the name of both forms.
I don't want to delete the first form just yet, so I need some way to work around this issue. Any ideas?
TM will not let you publish a form with the same name and a different design ID as an existing published form. If you have renamed the old form in Maestro, you can safely delete the old published copy of it in TM. If you don't have access, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the details and we'll delete it for you.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I've deleted the old form from TM, but it still exists in Maestro.
When I try to build the new form I still get the above error.
I don't want to delete the old form from Maestro just yet; I want to do some more work to verify correct behavior before I do that. So, just wondering if there is another work around.
If you deleted the TM form you should no longer see that error. There should be no need to delete the Maestro form. Could you log an AVT with details?
Done. ASD-7684 refers.
You have another form in the same TM organisation with the same name. If you delete that, you will be able to build yours.
